When you hire a director of golf, what you really want to think about is where you ideally want your director of golf to spend to his or her time. It may seem obvious that we want a good player, we want a good instructor, we want a good merchandiser. Frankly every club has a little bit different priority in where they want their director of golf, or their head professional to spend his or her time. Without that thoughtfulness in advance, you might be too focused on something that frankly is a small percentage of the overall package of skillsets, and competencies that you want someone to have.
