Jack draws on his extensive 40 years of private club experience with both, member, and corporate owned golf, country, and yacht clubs for his executive searches.
Jack served as vice president of club operations, Collier Enterprises in Naples, FL, which included oversight as vice president and general manager of The Old Collier Golf Club and Hamilton Harbor Yacht Club.
Before that Jack served as general manager of the Bay Colony Golf Club, in Naples; 15 years as general manager of the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club in Grosse Pointe Shores, MI and Nakoma Golf Club in Madison, WI. The GPYC, during Jack’s tenure, was selected three times as the Number One Yacht Club in the Country by Sibbald & Associates. After graduating from Parsons College along with graduate studies at the University of Iowa, Jack began his club career at Wakonda Club in Des Moines, IA.
A former National President of the Club Managers Association of America, Jack previously served as president of the Wisconsin Chapter of CMAA. He also represented the club industry on the National Restaurant Association’s board of directors. In 2000, he was honored as the Club Manager of the Year by Club Management Magazine and received the Excellence in Club Management Award from the McMahon Group.
Nearly thirty years ago, Jack worked with CMAA to develop a workshop at the CMAA National Conference specifically for yacht club managers which he still assists in facilitating today. In 2011, Jack received the Wanderlust Leadership Award for his contributions to the industry and the Florida Gulf Coast University Resort & Hospitality Management Program. Jack has been a frequent guest lecturer for the hospitality programs at Florida Gulf Coast University and Purdue University along with presentations at various CMAA regional and national conferences. He also serves on the advisory board for the Resort and Hospitality Management program at Florida Gulf Coast University.
