Armen has a storied past in golf including Major Championships, PGA Tour events and Top 100 courses. Suny was the Superintendent at Cherry Hills Country Club & Castle Pines Golf Club in Colorado and General Manager at another Top 100 course Shadow Creek in Las Vegas from 1995-2000. Additionally, he was the youngest Superintendent to host a Major Championship when in 1985 at the age of 27 he was the Superintendent at Cherry Hills Country Clubfor the PGA Championship. He hosted 6 PGA Tour events at Castle Pines. He was the Assistant Superintendent atMerion Golf Club in Pennsylvania for the 1981 US Open and left to become Superintendent at Rolling Green Golf Club at the age of Twenty-three. He mowed his first green over forty years ago and was an intern at Aronimink Golf Club in Pennsylvania for the 1977 US Amateur. Suny is a graduate of the famed Turfgrass Management program at Penn State.

Suny has provided Superintendent Searches for over 30 clubs in 11 states and Canada. Suny has been involved more recently with the workouts of failed golf course residential projects. He is presently working for Castle Pines Golf Club and is a partner in Suny, Zokol Golf Design, LTD, a Golf Course Design firm with PGA Tour Veteran Richard Zokol. Their Sagebrush Golf & Sporting Club in British Columbia, a Whitman, Zokol, Suny design was Golf Digest’s Best New Course in Canada in 2009 and is currently ranked by Golf Digest as Top 100 in the world outside of the US.
